Employment History

Lisa began her Social Work career in 1989, and has specialised in working with statutory children and families work continually since that date.
She qualified in 1993 with a Social Science Degree and Certificate Qualification in Social Work from Middlesex University.

Since 1997 Lisa has held management positions and has managed a number of Social Work Teams and associated projects.
In 2001 she joined the Senior Management Team within Sheffield Children and Young Peoples Directorate and has broadened her knowledge and expertise in strategic planning and partnership.

Having launched her own Social Work Consultancy Business she has worked continually since 2008 with no gaps in service.
She has delivered work to a number of providers including Higher Education Institutes, Universities, Local Authorities and Children's Trusts. She has excellent experience at helping Local Authorities and Trusts prepare for both Peer Reviews and Unannounced OFSTED Inspections

Lisa Adams is able to undertake direct work with families and court based assessments but is also able to work directly with statutory agencies providing cover at both Service Manager and Head of Service levels.

Lisa has previously chaired a number of multi agency forums including MARAC’s and Child Protection Conferences.
She has undertaken staffing investigations and complaints investigations and has presented information at Part 8 reviews.

Lisa has a keen interest in working with agencies to enable better working partnerships and joint working initiatives.
